I just used the dev team jailbreak to jailbreak 1.1.3 with jfb392's method.

I can launch installer, but whenever I try to download/install something, it finishes downloading, but when installing, it says "Main script execution failed!", even when I try to re-install BSD subsystem.

I can SSH into my iPod normally, though.

On the mainpage of the Installer App itself, under news, scroll down to the bottom. There are some instructions on running a few commands to take the mobile user into account. See if that works, report back.

Get on to 1.1.2, then install the jailbreak via the iPodTouchMaster way. Don't know if it will work. Haven't yet jailbroken 1.1.3 bad boy.
