main execution failed

    everytime i try to download install something it says
    main execution failed
    and download failed
    im on 1.1.4

    I ran into the same problem, but my way of fixing it was complicated and a restore might've been a better option for me. If you are dead set against restoring, you could read up on the forums for solutions to this - it's a very common problem. Make sure you have plenty of free space for your apps and that your source list isn't too huge.

    First of all, try clearing your queue then downloading. If that does not work, you can try what I suggested in the following [post] which details what command to use in WinSCP (assuming you can SHH into your iPod). You might have to delete installer and re-install it ([Installer Download]

    I had the same problem, you better not waste your time and just restore cuz i wasted all my day trying to find a way to do it without restore yesterday, but i ended up restoring so just restore and save your time.

    Just clear your Queue (click install, then on the prompt click Clear Queue).
