I cant keep deleting onebyone for 500 emails. Is there a way to mass delete/empty the Inbox?

Can you change the email settings from POP to IMAP? which mail service are you using? IMAP would allow you to make changes from your computer (i.e. delete all mail) and then the ipod touch would display those same changes. vice versa, when you delete mail from the ipod, that message will also be deleted when you check your mail on the computer.

Well i am using pop3 as it just forwards my mail to this. I was just wondering if there was any way to mass delete via the iPod.

yeah, there is not a way to mass delete from the ipod. so i just gave you a way to mass delete from your computer that way you don't have 500+ emails on your ipod.

But if they don't have the option of using IMAP on the server... I would like to have a way to do this as well, and, no, I don't want to delete my email account and recreate it on the Touch. ;-) That might work.

I know the thread is a bit dated, but has there been any progress on this??

I was hoping the 1.1.4 apps would have a way to mass delete by now.

Anybody know of an app for this?? Deleting 75+ a day and then cleaning out the Trash for that many again is a bit tedious for such a "Productivity Device"
