This question got asked about a year ago in another forum, but I'm unclear whether this is now possible on the mail app included in the Ipod Touch 2.0 firmware update:

Can you configure this mail app so that it doesn't delete mails from the pop-server when downloading them? I need them to be there next time I log on from the office computer.

    Thanks.

why wouldnt you just use IMAP period if the server allows it?

seems silly to bother with it when you can access the same e-mails anywhere... then you can have it at any place you'd like... not worry about deleting it off of the mail server or not

I clearly don't understand how this works. Aside from the issue of leaving messages on the server, I can't seem to get it set up right anyway. Tried getting my roadrunner mail (pop) set up, but says it "Cannot connect using SSL" It then gives me the option to connect without SSL, which doesn't work either. Anybody got any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?
