    ssh into it and
    chmod 777
    the
"/var/mobile/Library/Mail" and all of its subfolders and files.
after that everything should be fine.

If you want to use console then use
    "chmod 777 -R /var/mobile/Library/Mail"
    command

    Best regards

I agree, that was very unclear.

    Do you have Terminal installed?

Ok. Well, after you download it, open it and type this

    su

    alpine

    chmod -R 777 /var/mobile/Library/Mail

    chmod -R 777 /Applications/MobileMail.app

    killall SpringBoard

nope, its not good to give 777 to the mail appfolder!
the apps should be and stay 755!! Don't change, Otherwise they can cause dysfunctions to your ipod.

But you can run the first command

Also sometimes SU command wont work..think youll have to install it first.
So if youre getting an error after entering the first comman (su) then just use "login root" instead of "su" (of course without the quotes..)
