    MacBook's are pretty expensive. I suggest iPad if you can't really afford MacBook. It's got GarageBand, iMovie and Photobooth and iOS 5.

    Wait a few months too, if you want the iPad 3.

    You could probably find a used White MacBook from '07 or so for $400.

    Start with that, slowly upgrade it then sell for a profit. Take the profit and buy what you want at that time.
