Exactly. Everyone is raving about it, and I'm sure that the newer models that are yet to come will only get better. This thread seriously has me thinking that I should save up and buy my own in a few years.
Well, you should. Joking, but if you actually need a computer and have the money and interest in buying a Mac, I'd do it for sure. Sure you technically don't need it, but it's awesome to use really.
The 2010 ones most likely won't go back in stock. Wait for the refresh then get the 2011 one for the same price. I personally don't have one, but let's just say my next computer will be an MBA.
I would take advice from people who actually own them and use them instead of self proclaimed experts.
If you do get an Air, I would highly recommend getting an external HDD if it will be your main computer. Yes, I know it defeats the purpose of its portability, but it is one of the only practical options to combat the small amount of space.
The higher end Macbook Air 13" is on par with the Macbook Pro 13" in terms of speed and performance. I'm just really disappointed with my purchase of the baseline Macbook Pro 13". I could have got a 15" if I hadn't bought an iPad 2. I just caution of buying the Macbook Air perfect for you. I was lucky enough to upgrade my baseline Macbook Pro 13" to 8 GB RAM and 750 GB HDD. The SSD and RAM in the Airs are soldered in I believe.
Thanks everyone. I might see if I can save up and get the 13", from what you guys are saying it sounds better. Storage won't be an issue with it only being 64GB, I plan on buying external storage. I might wait for the next generation and see what happens with prices. Thanks a lot guys.
