I should be getting a new macbook aluminum in the next couple of weeks and im going to get the 2.0 version, is it worth the money to upgrade to the 2.4 ghz? The only reason why i would upgrade is for the backlit keyboard, but not for hundreds of dollars. What makes 2.4 ghz so much better than 2.0 ghz, is it that much faster?

You'll get more mileage out of the 2.4GHz. If you can afford it now, you may save the need for a new machine in a few years.

It seems your mind has already been made up. I don't see the point in asking.

Get the 2.4 GHz if you can afford it. Just don't upgrade hard drive or ram through Apple.

Get the 2.4 just incase. Apples snow leopard is focusing on efficiency and speed so If you buy that I dont think youll have any problem.
