Does restoring change my mac address on my ipod. I ask because i use mac address for my network at home as added security and it would just save some time if it stayed the same when i restore. I dont think it does but i just want to make sure.

Yea it is. Im positive it is because i set up my network to only accept mac addresses and i typed in my ipods wifi address (settings>general>about) and it worked.

Yeah but it isn't the actuall Wi-fi address, the MAC address requires your IP and your ARP aswell so its like a mixture

It is possible... at least on FW 1.1.4 using the command

    Code:
    ifconfig en0 ether XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
    in terminal.

    (x's being desired mac address)
