Mac upgrading question! 10.5.8 to 10.6+?

    I tryed looking inside the software updates but couldnt find anything for updating it to 10.6

    Im just wondering if I actually have to go buy snow leapord(or lion if its out yet?) just to upgrade to 10.6 (or above due to the new mac app store)

    Im not too good with macs so please let me know if you need more information :)

    would you suggest waiting for lion? If so, how long do you think that wait could be?

    Check out lion here, if you think its worth the wait from that, I'd wait ;)

    Its coming out in the summer apparently, so thats how long the wait is

    Thanks for the warning, it is compatible, sorry last question...

    I noticed a few reviews on apple.com giving snow leapord a 1 star and around 1000 people found it helpful...Should I be concerned about this? Is S. Leapord really "slow" and "a step backwords"?
    My desktop mac is about 2 years old now...And the review was from someone with a 2 year old mac

    I JUST upgraded and youtube has these blue '?' boxes everywhere...I cant find the Topic button on this site anymore (im editing a post) and software update says everythings up to date when I just check and it wasnt! HELP
