I'm currently running Leo4All v3 on my Compaq Presario SR5010NX PC. I love slapping apple right in the face by using their software for free.

I was wondering what you guys thought about the Mac OSx86 Project and if you use it yourselves.

    Happy Posting,
    Jordan

I have a Mac and have played with OSx86 long ago.

Personally, I like my Mac better

Osx86 is a wonderful project. I have leopard 10.5.3 installed alongside vista and I do prefer the UI.

Personally i dont consider it a slap in apples face, i mean when i can afford it i might actually buy a mac, based on my experiences of osx86

Is OSx86 hard to install for someone who has no idea how to do things like that? I want a mac but I'm not about dish out the money for one at the moment.

Being honest, it does require a certain amount of computer knowledge, you need to format etc, be able to troubleshoot if something does go wrong etc.

But it is pretty simple, almost the same as just installing it on a mac.

Use Kalyway, it configures itself, works with other Macs if you have a network and is super simple to install. If you can't get it you'd have to be a lazyasada.

I never tried Kalyway, I ended up doing the Leo4All v3 install and it works great.

Also, I believe it is a slap in the face, I would never purchase a Mac computer.

As of now, I tri-boot Vista, Ubuntu 7.10, and now Leopard
