    I think it was some Gizmodo article that said something along the lines of

    "Apple has gotten into the mindset that you're renting hardware. They've decided you can't determine want you can and can't do with a device that you have paid for."

    Personally, I like setting the limits as to what i can do on a computer, not have it the other way around.

    Just imagine a Macbook with an OS like the iPhoneOS. Basically, you buy your apps from their App Store, you can't install other applications unless Apple approves it, etc.
