Alright so im in a "pickle". I'm getting a new mac mini soon and was wondering how much ram to get. Could i get by with 1 GB of ram if i use Safari, iChat, Mail, and iTunes at the same time? Also, would it be ok with Adobe Photoshop CS (just plain CS) and HandBrake?

You know you can upgrade it easily by yourself right? 1GB of RAM isn't that good for any computer nowadays. You can get by, but you're just not a man if you don't have 2GB or more.

I know you can upgrade it yourself but i heard that voids the warranty...i guess you're right that 2GB is the "standard" now days.

Upgrading yourself, as long as you don't damage anything else in the Mini, does not void your warranty.

I suggest listening here for more info: http://www.maccast.com/2009/03/16/maccast-20090316/

Alright, Thanks for your help. I'm currently using a Power Mac G4 Quicksilver 867 MHz w/ 1 GB of ram and it wasn't too bad so i was wondering if i should go higher with the mac mini.
