    Hello all.

I have a jailbroken ipod touch (16gb) that I've used for podcasts and viewing videos transferred from my Tivo. I never use it for purchased music. I've used it with my work PC for some time now with few problems, but now I'd like to start syncing it from my PowerBook using Itunes.

I remember the old days when one plugged in the ipod it would at least see it and prompt for actions.... Now the ipod just bleeps and ... nothing.

I'd really hate to have to rebuild and jailbreak it all over. Any help out there?

    - Plugging directly in via USB, no hub.
    - Itunes 7.6

    P. S. I do notice that when I plug into the windows machine, though itunes sees the ipod, it throws and error after bringing up the itunes store screen asking if I want to buy the upgrade - I press "no thanks" and it presents me with the error: "An Error occurred. The iTunes store could not process your request. Please try again later." This probably has to do with the fact that its jailbroken with apps, but not sure.
