So I was wondering if anyone knew of any emulators that would work for an intel based Mac and play ISOs right from my Mac? What is zottd's based on?

I'm not asking for ISOs or for a BIOS or anything illegal, just a working emulator that I don't necessarily have to put the disc in for it to work.

Do you mean Emulators to play PSOne game? Or Dreamcast Games?

I know of Emulators on Windows to play PSOne games. There is a Mac one called PCSX but it's still in testing. It's available to download on their site.

Flarestorm is in 2.0 and is for PPC, but Intel could run it too I bet.

Complete list of PSOne Emulators for Mac OS X:

I suggest getting a PSP. PSOne games on there = Heaven.

come on man. Don't play me like that.

I've been searching around for like the past 2 hours. I found a lot of emus that weren't working for intel macs (flarestorm), i'm pretty sure for PCSX you need an actual disc because i couldn't get a file to just open on it.

I am merely trying to tap the knowldge base that is this forum for an answer. Isn't that what this place is for?

Please, refrain from being a d-bag.

Thanks telsa. Thats about what my searching came up with too. Zottd's emu must be based on something that works with OSX though right?

or if there is a way to play files straight from your computer without a disc using PCSX i'm all ears

Are you calling me the D-Bag or Hiratai?

I'm sure you can point to the PSOne ISO or just mount it and it'll play.

edited the post to clear that up Telsa, lol

I was trying to do that. I clicked the ISO and told it to open with PCSX and noting would happen. Also the program doens't give you a "run" option. IT merely gives you a "read disc" option

Unless of course i'm missing something.

ISO's are like DMG files. They'll just mount. When you click "Run" What does it do? Try mounting the ISO first.
