okay well in the semi-rslite readme.txt this is what it says: (for the part i'm stuck at)

is there any command i can type into terminal to do this for me?

if not, what's an easy way to do it without having to make my semi.ipsw a .zip file then unarchive it and change it? (obviously it doesn't work that way because you can't restore your ipod with a folder) but yeah does anyone know? thanks alot.

Well, aren't there some zip commands?? Or, if you go into PwnageTool.app and know what you're doing, you can actually disable the iBoot Patching Process. Then rebuild a custom ipsw with the jailbreak but an official iBoot. If you do that, MAKE SURE that you extracted the CORRECT (patched) iBoot221semi.img3 file from the ipsw. But restore with the ipsw with an unpatched iBoot. That's what I did, before I switched back to fully-tethered.

Show package contents on a .ipsw??? In the readme, there were some zip commands.

Here are some example commands to do steps 3a, 3b, and 4:
    Code:
     unzip semi.ipsw Firmware/dfu/iBSS.n72ap.RELEASE.dfu
     mv Firmware/dfu/iBSS.n72ap.RELEASE.dfu iBSS221pwn.dfu
     unzip semi.ipsw Firmware/all_flash/all_flash.n72ap.production/iBoot.n72ap.RELEASE.img3
     mv Firmware/all_flash/all_flash.n72ap.production/iBoot.n72ap.RELEASE.img3 iBoot221semi.img3
     rm -rf Firmware
     unzip iPod2,1_2.2.1_5H11a_Restore.ipsw Firmware/all_flash/all_flash.n72ap.production/iBoot.n72ap.RELEASE.img3
     zip -m semi.ipsw Firmware/all_flash/all_flash.n72ap.production/iBoot.n72ap.RELEASE.img3
     rm -rf Firmware
     unzip iPod2,1_2.1.1_5F138_Restore.ipsw Firmware/dfu/iBSS.n72ap.RELEASE.dfu
     mv Firmware/dfu/iBSS.n72ap.RELEASE.dfu iBSS211.dfu
     rm -rf Firmware
