Alright well first off i am thinking about doing the bootcamp thing for my mac to have Windows on my Mac as well. First off is it worth it in the long run? I am on a MacBook Pro and use Microsoft Office programs Tons for school and are a lot more familiar with them then pages, keynote, etc. and also i just know the Windows layout and all better. I also use a ton of Windows only programs.

Alright well that a side where do i get the Windows disk or whatever, like would best buy have them and also how much are they? I want to get the Windows 7.

Thanks everyone for all the help and impute that you can give, i greatly appreciate it if you can help me

Well it depends on your needs.

But since you say you have many Windows programs, I would install it.

Does anyone know how much Windows 7 goes for and where to purchase the disk?

You probably would've been better of simply buy a Windows-based laptop if you're that comfortable with it.

Anyways, OS X should work fine for you. if typing papers is your only concern, it'll work fine.

Search on the internet for Windows 7... You'll find it from $99 to $299.

Home Premium. Anything higher than that is (from my understandings) more than you need.

It's exactly the same, aside from the buttons of course [the control, option, commands buttons to be more specific].

Just remember that command corresponds to the windows key, and you have to configure the functions keys (f1, f2, etc) from the boot camp control panel item.
