    hey.

"well it started acting up yesterday (ie skipping songs on itunes, uploading pics real slow) so because it was frozen, and i couldn't get the "force application" box to come up, i just held down the power button. waited a while and tried to turn it back on. when it finally came back up, it was just a blue screen with an apple and didn't do anything. no pointer, no nothing. so i turned it off and on a few times. even held the power button down a while when turning it on until it made that beeping noise. anywho...idk what to do besides take it into the apple store soon. any ideas? THANKS! =)"

That is a quote from a frined, trying to help her out.

Put the install disk in and use Disc Utility or use a copy of Disk Warrior

Try repairing disk permissions with the install disk. Here is a guide.
