MAC: Apple Scripts to Boot & Jailbreak

This only took about 5 minutes, nothing big. This is a simple apple script I compiled that will reboot your jailbroken ipod. (Obviously, referring to a jailbreak from rslite) Just put the device in DFU mode, plug it in and open the script. Takes about 13 seconds from initializing the script. Credit MuscleNerd & the iPhone Dev Team for the patches.

    Sorry windows users, mac only.

The script is openly available in contents/resources, and it you can manipulate this for a full jailbreak too, but I figured that if I did that I'd have to package a firmware bundle with it, which I'm not going to do. xD

EDIT: Alright, I just uploaded an apple script that will jailbreak too. It does not include a custom ipsw. Both files have on-screen instructions on how to use them when ran.

Sorry, boot is attached. This script will boot up an ipod touch that has been jailbroken from the rslite method. It's just a mini time saver. I'm actually uploading an apple script right now that will jailbreak your ipod and include a custom ipsw. Stand by.

Thanks. My iPod is now Jailbroken, and the Boot-Script works, too.

But Cydia is missing, and I tried creating the custom .ipsw a 2nd time (this time, I also installed some packages with Pwnage), but again - no Cydia or anything else.

But it is jailbroken, because it isnĀ“t booting without the help of the script.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

When I run the jailbreak script I see a bunch of messages saying "You do not have adequate system privileges" to pretty much everything. It's my laptop, only account on here, so uhm...wtf.

Hooray! This is great, thanks for doing this. Hah we can't let windows users end up with better automation than us mac users

Your script is sensitive to timing of rslite. I'm going to make a little change to rslite to make it loop if it doesn't see a device in recovery or dfu mode, and I *think* that will fix this timing issue.

Yes, works great now. Is it possible that the Boot-Script automatically sets the iPod in DFU-Mode?
