My system memory is running low and it lowers the performance of my iPod Touch. When I quit out of an app, it doesn't do the minimize thing, it just shuts making it look ugly. Is there any way to get my memory back up? when I was on 2.2.1 it was fine and I jailbroken too. Now that I am on 3.0 jailbroken the system memory seems to have been very low. Can anyone help me?

    Thanks!

    1. Make sure you clear the memory after using an app like Music or Safari (using Memtool, SBSettings etc.)
    2. Make sure there are not too many background processes.
    3. Try are remove programs that use MobileSubstrate that you don't need (they sap RAM).

Whenever you want to play an App, just go into Safe Mode.

This can be done by downloading SBSettings from Cydia, going into it, and pressing the Power Button, then on the menu, select Safe Mode.

That will save you the trouble of disabling MobileSubstrate one by one and turning them back on again.
And also, before you go into an app, go into safe mode, plus click the FREE UP MEMORY button in SBSettings also, then youre good to go.

    In SBSettings, click More.

    Now Click Mobile Substrate Add-ons.
Now Disable Any You Think You Might Not Need.

But you can avoid disabling/enabling them by putting it in Safe Mode whenever you want to play a game or high-memory app.

Safe Mode disables All Mobile-Substrate until you turn it off.
