OK so had a tethered jailbreak for 3.1.2 with blackra1n. I had it for maybe two days. I was playing Tap Tap Revenge so I shut down my ipod touch due to lagginess. Then It wouldn't turn on so I had to restore and all that and now when I use blackra1n it gets stuck on reboot mode. I Need my jailbreak It feels so good! PLEASE HELP ME! I had a previous Ipod touch that had the same problem but I exchanged it for a new one and It worked but now it doesn't because I turned it off on a tethered jailbreak. Why did this happen? All because I shut my ipod touch off when it was tethered? My ipod touch turned off by itself due to lack of battery and it was fine I just re-jailbroke it with no problems at all.

If you turn an jailbroken iPod off you have to rerun blackra1n when you get the Recovery Mode, to do the jailbreak again!
If you can't jailbreak it now, just DFU restore the iPod before

lol you restored it. you can't instantly run it afterwards, you have to let it boot first.

To quote Geohot, if you don't know what "Tethered" means you shouldn't be using it.

But at least now you know.

Let me understand how this tethered jailbreak works..let's say I jailbreak it but I turn it off..if I want everything to stay the way it was, do I have to connect it to the computer and run blackra1n in order for it to have everything stay the way it was or do I lose the jailbreak as soon as I turn it off?

Yes, you have to connect to computer and run blackra1n
again, but that's it and everything should be as it was.
I've had to do it twice so far and had no troubles.

Oh Ok I see..so this is what we have to do in the meantime til a untethered jailbreak comes out. Is the 3rd Gen Ipod Touch worth getting? I had a 2nd Gen but I sold it back in June, I thought Apple would release an Ipod Touch with a camera but that did not pan out
