    Hi there,
This is my first time here so please excuse my ignorance. I just bought an ipod touch. It had the "app" icon on the bar at the bottom. But I had to do a restore & it never came back.
My second problem is that in my iTunes on my computer, when I click on my application tab, it is all greyed out & won't allow me to click on which one's I want to sync.
Sure appreciate any help you can give.
    Kristi

What did the app icon do ?
    I've never seen it ?
And do you have the little sync all apps box checked ?
If you do , uncheck that.

First off don't listen anything RYANLUSK has to say as he has no clue about jailbreaking or how to solve problems, he just likes to make useless posts.

Now got to Settings and then to General and then toggle off and on the Restrictions and try to sync again. This is usually always the solution for this problem. Take a look inside Restrictions and make sure installing apps is set correctly.

To make it so it's not greyed out, make sure that is checked ?

You clearly aren't even familiar with this problem.

Better idea! You leave us alone until you have an actual solution for a problem.

    THANK you soooooo much!

JPGA13. Thank you so much! You were right. I had forgotten that I had set some restrictions so my kids wouldn't download stuff from the apps store. I did what you said & it fixed it! yeah! Hopefully that will also fix the "greyed out" application tab also.

It didn't solve my "greyed out" problems in my iTunes. Under that tab it's still all grey & won't let me click on anything. Anymore ideas? Thanks again..
