while using one hand on my itouch, i plase my index finger on my sleep button. i noticed it started to get used and i started moving it back and forth whole playing. this turned into a habit and it feels like it is gonna fall out now. How can i fix this? i don't wanna take it back to apple because i have my name ingraved into the back and its jailbroken. (i will take it to bestbuy or sumthing if they can fix it, not jsut replace it.)

you can restore to official firmware thru DFU mode
and there will be no sign that your jailbroke
and im not sure if apple will engrave your name if they replace it.

what the hell are you talking about?
The most they can do is check for files you might not have deleted, which shouldn't be a problem if you set up as new and not from a backup, or they can just ask you if you jailbroke, and if you're stupid you say yes.

But if you just set up as new, it erases just about everything.
And I doubt they'd even take the time to check...

DFU > Restore. I could go into detail about how a normal restore or a Recovery mode restore doesn't actually delete everything, but no need.

i know how to DFU+restore...I've jailbroke my own ipod 3 times(tethered>semi>untethered) and jailbroke 6 of my friend's ipods.

Now, people, please stop saying what other people have said.
