Im Looking to buy a 22'' to 24'' monitor, any advice on what brand or model you like? Im going to use it with a Macbook Pro 17'' via DVI and I really dont fee like shelling out $800 for an apple one (though they are the best looking ones out there).

    Thanks in advance.

Look into a Samsung model. They are around $300 but have really good response times. There are also some 24" Models by ASUS that have an HDMI slot also, so you can use it for a video game system as well.

I recently bought this 21.5" monitor from NewEgg.
    It is from Acer.

This monitor is awesome- it can display up to 1080p (1920x1080), which most cannot.

I strongly suggest buying this monitor if you are looking for a good 22".
It beats the picture for most of them. There is also an ASUS 21.5" monitor, but the contrast ratio is 1000:1. Acer's monitor is 20,000:1. Very nice.

For the price ($200 and free shipping), this is an amazing monitor.

Yeah my MBP runs at 1920x1600 native and is 17 inches so I was kind of looking for something a little bigger than 21, but that one looks nice.
