Tablets have always interested me since I first played with the iPad. However, I'm nowhere near rich enough to actually buy an iPad. Android tablets seem to come in all shapes, sizes, specs, and prices. I'm looking for something a bit cheaper, wishfully under $400, but that isn't too small and junky, and one that will hopefully receive some more Android updates in the near future. I've looked at the Eee Pad Transformer (not the Prime) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, both of which seem to connect with the price vs. quality that I'm looking for. Are there any problems with either of those? Are there any others I should look at?

I've looked at the Touchpad, and I'll be sticking with Android.

I'm posting from it now. it is an AMAZING tablet, i REALLY think you should consider it. it runs amazingly well, in both webos and android, it can run GTA 3 on full settings with NO lag at all. Thats better than the iPad 2 and on par with the iPad 3.

Kindle Fire, or the Nook Tablet?

Those are a bit small, and I haven't seen the greatest reviews.
That's not on par with what I've seen about the Touchpad. It didn't seem very fluid or smooth. And comparing it to iPads is an opinion.
If I'm going to buy an Apple product it's going to be top-of-the-line.

Then Kindle Fire. 4th best tablet out there IMO, behind the three iPads.
