    Ok idk if this has already been found or if im a dummie for posting this...

    So in Services.plist in /System/Lockdown i found the following lines...

    </dict>
    <key>com.apple.purpletestr</key>
    <dict>
    <key>Label</key>
    <string>com.apple.purpletestr</string>
    <key>ProgramArguments</key>
    <array>
    <string>/usr/libexec/PurpleTestr</string>
    <string>--lockdown</string>
    <string>--oneshot</string>
    </array>

    Is this the screen that you get when you restore with 2.0, if so what if you deleted it and put it back into a DMG, now would it boot into 2.0? Wait Wait Wait, your ipod would actually look for the file and not find therefor booting into it or, becoming a thoughtless ipod!

    well, I would look into it a lil more, but, I think if this is just this specific thing it will not stop you from restoring, plz do not blame on me if anything happens o ipod, plus you could get it returned at Apple store because employees will be like

    than change the permissions on a Mac you have to

    1. right click on app
    2. hit get info
    3. it opens a large window, find settings and permissions
    4. unlock it
    5, click write and read for your user! Now change it, then change the permissions back!
