    Is it possible?
(I'm on an iPod Touch 2G)

Possibly....if you added the 3.0 img's to the logome directory containing them...maybe..?

not sure but i dont think so. 3.0 is already buggy as it is with JB why mess around with logome and make it even buggier...

I tried using it. After I flashed the image I got really scared because the loading bar wasn't loading and I thought I had to do a restore, but that wasn't the case, it did nothing.

We do have the keys already, if you look in the right places...
For instance, we know that the Hardware ID(not sure if that's the right technical name, but you get the idea...) for the iPod Touch 2G is n72ap, if you look in the firmware files, correct?

And most people know that OS X apps typically consist of folders and files, right? The solution is simple then. Look in the OS X version of RedSn0w 0.7.2 using the following steps:
    1) Open redsn0w-mac_0.7.2.zip in your favorite archiver, WinRAR, WinZip, 7-zip, etc.
    2) Browse to the folder redsn0w-mac_0.7.2\redsn0w.app\Contents\MacOS in the archive.
    3) Select the file Keys.plist , extract the file to your Desktop or where ever you choose.
    4) The file is in text format usually seen on Linux/BSD systems, simple fix... Select all the text and copy over to Wordpad or Microsoft Word, then Select all again and copy back over to notepad or other appropriate application. --This step may not be needed if you have a text editor that can read Linux/BSD formatted text files without problems--
    5) Once all that is done, the rest is easy, Search the file for this text:
    <string>n72ap</string>

The rest after that should be self-explanatory. Hope this was of some use.
