    Theyre working on it.

Either LogoMe will be ported to 3.0 (hopefully soon) or a new redtool will be out.
    Just gotta wait it out.

Just use Pwnage tool 3.0, it supports boot logos.

@wyndwarrior, this is the 2nd Generation iPod touch Forum.
Pwnage Tool 3.0 is not made for the 2G iPod touch.
Please know what youre talking about before posting. Thank You.

Just a quick question, "Can you change to boot logo by editing or changing the applelogo.png located in System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard directory but still keeping the same name?"

The boot logo is attached inside the firmware in something like ALLFLASH/ or something like that.

Its actually built into the .ipsw firmware file, and has nothing to do with the software itself. Ive actually tried replacing the .img3 within the .ipsw, and doing a full restore. It booted, but with a black screen.

3.0 is highly reluctant to custom boot logos.

The LogoMe team has been working on it and I'm sure theyll have it up and running sooner or later.
