I find that I pretty much always have the volume set pretty close to the loudest. (i.e. if you picture the volume slider, the button is positioned in the region to the very right that is about 20% of the total slider length). I've described that horribly but hopefully you get my drift.

Anyway, I find that it's a bit awkward to make small adjustments to the volume due to the interface and the way you can't see the exact position of the button so my idea was to make the scale logarithmic. i.e. moving the button a certain increment on the left hand side will make a much bigger change in volume compared to moving it the same increment on the right hand side (the louder end of the scale). In this way, you could easily make smaller adjustments where required.

    Is this possible?

Sure, anything is possible, but it sure as hell won't be a walk in the park. =O
I'd like this if it ever came out.

It is clear to people that know the vocabulary, I understood it on the first read. I'm pretty sure this isn't going to happen though, sorry.

It would mean rewriting some of the music player app, which unfortunately is closed source, because it is Apple's. So you can't do it. Yet.

when adujusting the volume put your hand over the knob it then drag down a bit and you can see the knob and still adjust. (if thats what you want im not really sure)
