Alright, i have no idea what i did but i woke my ipod 1g from sleep and the date and time were gone along with the shading/darker area at the top where the date and time rests. Here's a pic. The lockclock.ttf is still there and there is no en.plst or whatever for the date and time. The only things i've done recently are update mobile substrate, turn the battery percentage indicator on, and install SmartScreen.

Hmm, maybe SmartScreen disables it? Or maybe you have hide clock/clock hide enabled.

I'm pretty sure i don't have any hides on. But it could be smartscreen. Oh, the only other thing i did was turn the "date in status bar" toggle on from SBsettings.

Well, the only thing you can do is to turn off that toggle and see if it comes back, or disable SmartScreen and see if it comes back.

It's SmartScreen. Disable it within the app and your top bar should return.
