After school today my ipod touch's lockscreen button stopped working. I don't know why because it was sitting in my locker all day with nothing touching it. But i can't press it no matter what i try. I was going to restart it but i have it as a tethered jailbreak and can't do that. I cant reboot on the computer because i can't put it into DFU mode.

So my question is, to restore do i just put it in and press restore in itunes and select my firmware? or is there a special way to do it since it's tethered jailbroken? and will Apple fix my ipod if i send it in with the broken button after i restore it?

Thanks for taking the time to read and answer my post
