i was wondering if there is a way to join a network that has a lock on it.

i know that i can join into networks that aren't password protected like at the library or at star bucks but if there is a lock beside the network and it is password protected is there a way to hack into that signal ?

i don't think there is... if there were, it would be a jailbreak app, i don't think apple would approve of such an app on the app store...

there must be a port for the aircrack-ng suite

as an alternative you can take a laptop, and look for tuts on youtube or google

and yes, its stealing unless you ask the administrator of the newtork for a permission

you can test this with your own wi-fi network, or your neighbors´ or friends´

yes, the only thing i can think of is using a computer to crack the password then use it on your ipod/iphone

There is no port of aircrack-ng at this time but you could try compiling it. I do not believe there is support for the IF that is in the touch/iPhone however.

Doing the crack with a laptop can take as little as 5min depending on they type of encryption. However this should only be used for legal penetration testing and never to illegally access someone else's network.

That's stealing. What makes you think you have the right to use someone else's network? If they wanted to share it they wouldn't have secured it!
