Hi, I do not like winterboard, it sight makes me want to throw up, because it lags my ipod down to battery loss (major).

I today, would like to either:

1.Successfully use Lock seconds without winterboard.

    or

2.Edit the deb so the dependancy for winterboard is removed.

The only reason that I believe it uses winterboard is to gain access to system files, which I can already gain access to, it gains access to springboard.app as it displays in the mobilesubstrate. It is not a theme, it is a tweak to gain seconds on the clock on lockscreen. Thank you for your assistance if applicable.

Winterboard does not cause lag or battery problems... for anybody... Sorry I can't help with your problem but seriously, you must be doing something wrong.

I had about a dozen different things check marked

So if this is your problem as it was mine, try un-check marking and deleting things in Winterboard you can live without. Hope this helped!!

Theming makes your iPod slower and makes the battery worse.

Just to add to this, the location for the UI sounds is

    /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app

Winterboard does not slows down iDevice or battery loss, if you do not have themes.
