Location setting

    how do you set your location on the ipod touch?

    i mean your actual place of location........where you reside...is there such a thing?

    What I think she is referring to is the location that some software uses for the Iphone. Since it has a gps built in, it knows where it is at. I do not think the touch has a capability of giving that type of software a location.

    But I could be wrong.

    No, you're right. The iPhone has a locate me feature.

    The iPod touch doesn't have a location feature.

    the iPod Touch DOES have the 'Location' setting. it all depends on your WiFi signal. I know it took about 2 days for mine to locate me. You have to do a few 'Maps' searches from your home address to anywhere, and just wait a few days, and it should catch on...

    I have a Linksys router, and had Verizon DSL at the time, so not sure if that helped or not...

    I just recently moved (beginning of the month), but my iPod Touch (2g) still thinks I'm at my old address for the 'Location' setting...
