I am going to take a wild guess its in the MobileMusicPlayer.app?

I may be wrong, but thats where I would check first.

That must have taken a lot more bravery than most people here know how to muster. I felt the sarcasm from this side of the globe...but you kept your cool, which means kudos from me.

That said: Um, new guy? Yeah, uh...you MIGHT want to try using the built-in search feature on this site. Yeah, it's there for a reason.

You are correct that it is MobileMusicPlayer.app. Changing its name is tad trickier than changing an icon in MobileMusicPlayer.app. To do that, you must navigate on your phone to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj and open up LocalizedApplicationNames.strings. You will need to convert that from binary to plain text. Once you have that opened, find iPod and change it to whatever you want it to be.

Um... USUALLY when you can't find an answer with the search you USUALLY start your own thread to find your answer. What a D!CK. I don't deny being a newbie though. Anyway, I used the above poster's method and this guy's method but for some reason textwrangler won't save my changes. Any suggestions? http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?p=712284#post712284

no i really wasnt being sarcastic.
It sounded sarcastic, but I had no other way to put what I wanted to say.
That honostly, is where I would have checked first.

Why do you want to find the mobilemusicplayer.app icon anyway? because there is that springroll thing now to change icons which may be easier.
