When i plug in my iPod to my computer, it charges fine and it gets picked up by iTunes and blah blah blah...

BUT, when i plug it into an adapter, it wont charge. This leaves me only to be able to charge while on the comp..

anyone know what to do other than get it fixed by apple?

Wait.. where did you buy the adapter from? It may not work with the ipod touch/iphone.

This might sound like a stupid question, but have you tried plugging anything else into the outlet?

Sounds like a hardware problem, I'd return it for a new one.

Restoring just wipes the iPod and reinstalls the firmware, it wouldn't fix a hardware problem.
