So after jailbreaking 4.0, I noticed a little N icon part of a square appear in the status bar everytime I use an app that uses internet. I've been wondering what it is. Anyone know?

According to this then, it could be the multitasking icon for "native" apps.

It's backgrounder (a multitasking tweak in Cydia). It is a status bar notification telling you something is backgrounding natively (hence the "N"). If you see lines that look like sun rays with the square, that's backgrounding through backgrounder.

You'll get it on Facebook, iPod, Music, Videos, Notes, Settings, and any other app that has 4.0 multitasking enabled.

How in the world did you manage to find this thread? And why on earth would you feel the compulsion to reply to it?
