Is there any Linux support for the redsn0w lite tethered JB??
Why does Apple think that Linux is "weak"

    ITRON is first BTW

Servers don't really count as users, but alright.

With that aside, there isn't a current Linux solution. Wait 3-4 days I'd bet, there's not a huge base of people that ONLY have Linux. Most dual boot with Linux.

I'm about to unleash an ultimate facepalm.

redsn0w gives access to the kernel so it can be patched in RAM. We have no access to iboot or any of the goodies that require Linux to run on the iPod touch 2G

    Guys, let's not flame.

There's no way you can currently run Linux on a 2G, simple as that.

Ok, I'll combat your comment about my sexuality with just technical knowledge.

You're right, Linux <> iPhone OS

but in order to boot linux, you have to be able to make the iPhone's bootloader capable of booting linux. This is done with a custom iBoot which, if we were able to mount one on the device, we wouldn't need a tethered jailbreak.

I am amused by your SN and your post count and your remark. They all fit really well.

    Oh yeah, post reported.

That isn't what you said. Just get iRecovery and compile it on your linux distro.

But with your maturity level, I wouldn't try it, you'll just get a brick.
