Linux on Ipod Touch?

    why would you WANT linux on your ipod touch???

    Thr folks at ipodlinux.org say that it probably won't happen.

    idk because just to say, Hey look i got linux on my Ipod and u dont!!!! lol
    wouldnt there be more things you can do in it?

    dont see it happening because the developer of the linux distribute. Would have to know how to make the OS read touch, and multi-touch gestures. Due to there being no SDK for doing such a thing that would be veey hard to do.

    On another hand 3rd party developers seem to miraculously be using touch gestures as if it were their nature of coding so maybe it is possible.

    the way it is implimenting linux for the ipod touch will be time consuming and will take up tons of lines of coding it won't be an easy process but who knows if it might happens. It's all on if some developer got their ipod replaced with an ipod touch and starts messing around with it, thats basically how it went about of all the previous versions for different models of the ipod.

    The closest thing that will end up coming out is google's android possibly for iphone/ipod
