Line-in?

    yes, you need a 4 contact adapter wired correctly, or there are some pre made ones out there for sale Im sure.

    As far as applications go the only one that comes to mind is 'four track' ( http://www.sonomawireworks.com/iphone/fourtrack/ ) however I'm sure there are others.

    I would like to ask a different question concerning line-in. Is it possible to connect a 3.5mm male to male from my PC sound card to the ipod, so i could use the ipod speakers?

    I do not care about recordinf, it's just that i havent bought any speakers yet for my new PC and since the ipod has this line-in feature, maybe i could use its speakers temporarily.

    So how would i do that? I already have a male to male belkin cable, i am only wondering which app to use. Is the one mentioned above capable of playback as well?
