iOS 4.1 Limera1n Problem: Cydia installation

Discussion in 'iOS Jailbreak & Cydia' started by deleted account, Oct 9, 2010.

  1. So far, I managed to use the jailbreak to get the Limera1n app.
What I am trying to do now is install Cydia.
I've gone through the dang process and it doesn't even show up when I reboot, no matter how many times.
    Please help.

I have iPhone 4, just updated to 4.1 for first time through iTunes (already jailbroken at 4.0.1)... Used limera1n as instructed, everything went fine, but cydia will not appear as you guys said.

Please reply with what phone, operating system (x64 or x86), firmware, and if you had previously jailbroken it.

I believe it has something to do with x64 bit and/or iphone 4 being already jailbroken at lower firmware.

    I am using:

iPhone 4 (already jailbroken at 4.0.1)
    Windows 7 64 bit OS
    Newest iTunes (10.X)

Maxg, i already tried this.. I am going to try to re run limera1n, if still fail, i restore to 4.1 again and redo..

please do not say something works without giving variables...

    did not work for me:

    iPhone4 (jailbroken at 4.0.1)
    Windows7 64 bit
    iTunes 10.X

limera1n didn't have an icon it was white. I rebooted it and the icon and cydia popped up after trying to download cydia from limera1n

I tried rebooting, fail, so now i am doing hard boot, turn off, then manually turn on... lets see... still no rain or cydia
  8. I rebooted, got the full limera1n icon, went to install Cydia, and reboot, Cydia does not show up.

Look hard for it, the icon itself doesn't actually show up till a few reboots, instead of the actual icon a white box will be there.
