Lillte dot?

    Has anyone ever noticed a small brownish dot on the top of the iPod touch 2G above the screen. I can see it sometimes when my iPod is in the sunlight. I was wondering if anybody knew what it was or what it's for.

    It's so that the iPod can tell when to adjust the backlight.

    It is an Ambient Light Sensor.
