*Take this with a grain of salt, as we could potentially have another disappointing release, similar to last year. So, according to what we already know about the iPhone 4's features, and what Steve himself said at the keynote, here is a list of all the possible, and very likely features that the iPod touch 4G might have, based on what has been said, etc. Remember to take this lightly. Very likely features: -Facetime. Steve said "we will ship 10s of millions of FaceTime devices this calendar year." however, it is possible that the iPod touch WONT get it in case of a new iPod, or its slapped on the nano. -Microphone. Since FaceTime is essentially a phone call where you can see someone, a built in mic is the obvious way to go with this. BUT the mic might be slapped on the earphones again. -Front facing camera. A requirement for FaceTime, need i say more? -Retina Display. Since the iPod touch is what apple calls a "gaming device," the retina display is obvious to make games look much better, a.k.a better graphics. -A4 chip. To keep up with the performance of the iPhone 4. I doubt apple will keep the iPod touch behind the iPhone 4 in speed, but we'll see. -Gyroscope. What better way to interact with games then with this? To apple, this could "bring gaming to a whole new level." The gyro is probably the #1 obvious addition to a gaming device, so this SHOULD be in the new iPod touch. -A low res back facing camera. Since one of the big things about FaceTime is that the person on the other end can see what you see, it seems necessary that the iPod touch 4G get this. If there IS one, dont expect 5 MP. -512 MB of RAM. This is to support the native multitasking that the iPod touch 4G WILL have. I can see apple advertising multitasking as being able to switch between all of your favorite games without going to the home screen, or something. So thats it. Please let me know if i missed anything!
