I installed libusb in compatibility mode on a 32bit vista. It doesn't detect my iPod during jailbreaking. In the quickfreedom help it says to run the test program. What exactly should the test program window look like if it has an iPod detected and everything?

uninstall it. then right click the installer and go properties, compatibility mode and select windows xp sp2 (or somthing like that). then install it and the last step of the install will be an option asking u to run a test program, which u can run if u want.

    hope this helps

ummm like a rectangular window longer than its wide, white background with writing. U don't really need to worry abt it though. Whats exactly stopping u jailbreaking ur ipod and list details like ur system info and stuff.

When I plug my iPod in with libusb installed, my computer doesn't make the device connected noise or detect my iPod. I have a 32 bit Vista Home Premium on a HP Pavilion with 2gb RAM. I am trying to use quickfreedom 1.1.1

Are you supposed to be in DFU?

Yes, but I don't know if my iPod is in DFU mode because my computer didn't make the beeping sounds.

Mine makes the sounds but when using Quickfreedom and hitting "Start Pre-Jailbreak" it tellls me to put in DFU mode. Have followed your tutorial but still won't go. I do have the black screen. Running everything in XPSP2 compatability.
