Installed Libusb on my computer and forgot to run it in compatibility mode.
I uninstalled using safe mode but now I can't connect to the internet using dial up.
    The USB ports do work.

Any idea on how to fix it or what's wrong with it?

if you can, try system restoring your computer to an earlier date. maybe that'll fix it

I hope your keyboard and mouse still work, because if it doesn't then your screwed.

If your keyboard works just use hotkeys to uninstall libusb.

Do you have 32 bit or 64 bit vista?

Are you running 64 or 32 bit?

Try unplugging your Internet cable from the back of you computer for around 20 seconds.

Any way atm to run it on W7? It just died on me, and libUSB doesn't work, so unless I can boot it really really quick tomorrow before I leave (which i doubt) I cannot use my ipod. Is there a boot loader that doesn't use it?

The best solution is something called a restart to finish removing the LIBUSB driver

If any of you with issues have a copy XP just create a dual boot PC (I have Vista64 so i did this)

If you have a second HD then thats the easiest way... shut down - unplug - install second drive - UNHOOK the vista drive - Boot / Install XP - after complete - shut down hook the VISAT drive back up

ON BOOT - IMMEDIATELY hit F8 (during BIOS boot) you will be given an option of which device to boot to.. just pick the drive with XP

otherwise, with one drive - google it - you want to find a tutorial about installing XP after VISTA for dual boot - because a repair is needed after the XP install (Boot fix for vista)
