With my LG GD510 (POP) it includes a charger where it's a USB plug and a usb adapter... I'm wonderig can I use this to charge my iPod from the wall until I can get an Apple one.

These are what it says on it:

    LG Travel Adapter
    Model - STA-U14UD
    Input - 100-240V-50/60Hz 0.2A
    Output -- 5.1V --- 0.7A

Will this work? Since some don't work either due to the wrong voltage or it giving a message saying it's unsupported.

Yeah it will work. As long as the output is 5V.

And FYI, iPods can't get "burned" if the voltage is too high. the iPod will automatically shut off its circuit.

No, it has to have a special chip in it that Apple produces for it to charge. And it has to be 5V. Another way Apple makes money.
