Great, so now that i called best buy about battery problems, i know their secret: you know your ipod touch needs to be fully decharged to charge it for the first time?(if not your battery may last less longer)well guess what, best buy are tricking the ipt... how? They charge it to near 65%, than they put it on restore mode(screen with itunes logo and USB connector) And they say, you need to decharge it... SO THEY ARE FORCING US TO LIVE WITH A F***ING SCRAPPED IPOD... And now my 30 day's warranty is expired, but i still have my 1 year warranty... is their anyway i can get my ipod a good working heart? it makes 2 ipods i didnt have a healty battery heart

Best Buy is suckish that way
but your problem has nothing to do with battery charged 65%, thats just bad tech support
just try a few decharge-recharge cycles and if it's not any good, return it

Why don't you just let the battery die down completely then charge it up all the way?

    That is still conditioning it.

Go ask for a refund from apple then if your battery sucks. (common sense)

When I bought my ipod from Target the battery was charged to about 75%(So bestbuy is not the only one). But i charged it up to 100% and then drained it all the way down. Never had a problem with it since. Mine lasts up to 8-9 hrs depending on what Im doing. If I play apps like fifa its more like 5.

iPod boxs are taped shut and you can tell if it has been opened so your story is BS, plus Apple already does a full charge and discharge be for packaging...

First, I do not shop at best buy because I have had terrible experiences with them. However, they are not causing your issue by charging or discharging your battery. One charge cycle is not going to have an effect on the overall life of the battery.

How are you measuring the health of your battery? How long the battery remains charged will vary depending on many factors such as screen brightness, wifi usage, etc. Even the bit rate of music you are playing will effect it.
