I have 3 partitions on my hard drive. I need to completely delete one, but CANNOT delete the others. the one i need to erase is the one with leopard on it. if i booted to disk and went to disk utility in that mode and clicked on my main partition and hit erase, would it delete all my partitions or just that one?

    Bad idea.

@OP What is on the other 2 partitions? Just boot into the OS X Install, Go into Disk Utility, select the Leo partition, Erase. Select only the partition and not the entire disk.
