I would add a poll, but i dont think many people have it yet, i do, i just got it today.

I have to say, its cool, like os x is...but i cant say its nearly worth 129, nor have i found much new things.

    here are the noticible things

    1) spaces is great
    2) shading on everything is darker, which is cleaner
    3) stacks make life easier
    4) connecting to networks, easy
    5) coverflow your life, is fun
    6) quicklook, makes previewing easier
    7) ichat and photobooth have some cool fun factors
    8) time machine icon is cool... but i have a laptop so i wont be using it.
    9) web clipping for dashboard in safari.

thats pretty much it, oh and the new background and dock look cool too...

so wait.. you start a post on how leopard isn't worth it... and all you post is positive things about the operating system?

How could it not be worth $129? Vista goes for double that and then some

the point was to say for 129 thats all you get...
    there isnt much there.

they just made things look nicer and work easier. that isnt worth 129. i felt like i could have just ran an update to update finder.

Well it sure has more improvements than XP to vista had, and for half the price... I'd say it's worth it.

seriously... come on leopard is great, also it's really hard to improve on something that is already so well done aka tiger but still apple found a way to do it, you really are missing out on time machine, i think time machine alone is worth 129.

true, however, its for people who have stationary computers, not ones that they take with them everywhere. Im in college, and i always have my mac on my back. (ryhme) so its too irrational to carry around an hdd with me. its great for househould macs.

Leopard ia amazing I love time machine, not much use for spaces I alread have to monitors and it replaces them bothing which is odd, but I may use it in the future

Anyways back to time machine. EVen if you have a laptop you could still plug it into an external HD every night to backup your files. I think it one of the greatest features avaliable cause it makes backing up and restoring files easy and fun so hopefully more people will start using it so we don't have as many sad stories about how they lost everything cause their HD died that they never backed up.

And my machine runs like a beast now. (fresh install on a MacPro Dual 2.66)

Also love webclips, stacks, quicklook, new quicktime, dvd player... the list goes on. I would have paid well over 130 bucks for this upgrade.

Lemme ask a question, maybe you can answer

    I have a 160 gig internal hdd
I also have a very compact 120 gig external hdd

Now i use that hdd for a lot of stuff.

when i try to setup time machine it says it will reformat my external hdd. so can i take the stuff off, put time machine on, and then put my files next to time machine on the hdd?

Leopard is Great!!! For me the best feature is that it can run Windows XP. At work, I have internet websites that are only compatible with windows software. Now i have both operating systems in 1 computer.
