This is a discussion thread for the "Legal Loop: Chinese Court Calls For iPad Ban in China" story posted on the front page.
I think this is a necessary evil from Apple in this case, since they reportedly have the proper licensing agreements with Proview to use the iPad trademark in China. It appears that Proview had absolutely nothing wrong with Apple using the iPad trademark until they went bankrupt, and they now appear to be trying to ride off of Apple's wealth by suing them over this trademark. It doesn't help that Proview's iPad trademark is for an obsolete computer released 12 years ago that is practically irrelevant.
Apple will fail and Microsoft will bail them again and yet again Microsoft will get booed for saving the company.
